Tour Description

Get set for an action-packed adventure as you set off from Melbourne between 7-8am. Driving through the vast volcanic plains of Melbourne's south-west region, you head straight for the sea on the Great Ocean Road Trail. You will pass through the surf village of Torquay, the gateway to the Great Ocean Road. On the Great Ocean Road, you will experience a sightseeing spectacle that will provide you with a lifetime of memories. The Great Ocean Road is consistently ranked as one of the world's most beautiful scenic drives, and for good reason. You will experience the power of the ocean as your tour carves a line between the mountain and the ocean. Watch as the towering cliffs plunge into the thundering surf. Hear the white-capped waves crash against the sheer cliff-face. Feel the golden sand between your toes and bring your bathers if the weather is warm and swim at one of Australia's best beaches.

Once your eyes have had their fill of surf and sand, step into the dark cool of the Otways National Park. The rainforest gully walk provides a tour of a prehistoric rainforest. This is one of Australia's oldest rainforests, and is home to some of the world's tallest trees. See the large, lush ferns and rainforest flowers. Where the forest meets the sea provides a rich habitat for some weird and wonderful wildlife, which you will see and hear on the tour.

Continue on the Great Ocean Road to see the majesty of the world-famous 12 Apostles. These limestone formations are one of Australia's most photographed landmarks. Explore Loch Ard Gorge, Razorback Lookout and Mutton Bird Island the site of one of Australia's most significant shipwrecks, and hear the tragic tales about the Shipwreck Coast and see the challenges faced by maritime crews.
